In a surprise move, Major League Baseball has gone with a generic password for the World Baseball Classic Semi-finals and Finals lottery presale that began today. The lottery was set up in a fashion similar to how MLB playoff tickets are sold, so it seemed they would give lottery winners a unique password. However, that turned out to not be the case.
You can get the password for this round below.
This is the second time the World Baseball Classic will be held. The first time around, tickets sold slowly at first but with increasing quickness as the sales cycle got in January. By the time the public sale for the 2nd and final rounds in Los Angeles and San Diego, respectively, happened, there were not many tickets left. It seems baseball fans are not really thinking about spring tickets before Christmas.
Ticket prices this time around are quite a bit higher, reaching up into the $675 per strip range for some lower level tickets that include buffet meals. These prices a bit over the top, but if you use the link provided below (instead of navigating through the Ticketmaster search) the page you will be brought to has a price drop-down box that you can use to poke around the $300/strip tickets - these are a bit more reasonable locations for the price.
